Sinopia Clay Bole - Green - 900ml

Sinopia Green Gilding Clay Bole is a premium, finely milled Kaolin clay developed for traditional water gilding techniques. The subtle green hue is used under gold or silver leaf to achieve unique tonal effects and historical finishes. Ideal for restoration projects, religious iconography, and gilded surfaces where a slightly cooler undertone is desired.

Application Tips

As with all clays, the Sinopia Clay Bole will need to be mixed with a hide glue, such as rabbit-skin glue before applying to the piece.

Please note, the Sinopia Clay Bole is thick out of the bottle and will need generous thinning with water until it reaches the consistency of cream. It is not recommend to mix the Sinopia Clay Bole directly with natural glues without first thinning the clay with water.
