Aluminium (imitation silver) leaf that has been pressed into rolls and backed by a thin sheet of tissue paper. Due to the process of making the rolls the leaf is not continuous and there will be the appearance of fine joins along the length of the leaf. The appearance of this will be minimised if laid correctly.
Extensively used by frames but suitable for any application where a length of constant fixed width leaf is desirable, such as pinstriping or gilding covings or cornices.
