Making a Purchase
Making a purchase online could not be easier. Just browse our store and add any items that you wish to buy into the shopping cart. After you have finished your selection, click on 'Checkout' and you will be asked for a few details that we need to be able to complete the order.
We accept major credit cards, debit cards and PayPal. If you are shopping from overseas, place your order and your credit card company will convert the transaction to your own currency. We do not charge for any item until it is ready to ship. Back ordered items are not charged until they are shipped.
When confirmation of order is received, this indicates that we have received your order. It does not indicate that a contract exists between us. We will indicate acceptance of your order, and hence a contract between us, when we send you an invoice. We have included this term to protect us in the case that a mistake has been made in pricing, we have inadvertently under-priced goods, or we are no longer able to supply a particular product for some reason. In the case of a change of price, we will always contact you first to ensure that the price is acceptable.
We require full payment prior to despatch of goods.
We also accept orders over telephone, simply call with your order and we will process it immediately. Account customers will pay on credit terms already agreed and for new customers and cash accounts we will require payment prior to despatch of goods either by credit/debit card, bank transfer or cleared cheque. We do not accept card payments for overseas transactions for non-account holders. Overseas payments for non-account holders must be made by bank transfer or PayPal. Our bank details are available on request.
Due to many contributing factors, we cannot guarantee that the colours displayed on the website will exactly match the colour of the product. There are many variables which can change the way you "see" the colours as you view our site. Computer monitors are capable of displaying up to 32million colours and the human eye can only decipher a very small fraction of those colours. And within that small fraction, we all see them differently. In addition, people's monitor settings may influence how colours are displayed depending on each individual monitors brightness and contrast settings.
**Computer monitors have inherent limitations, and electronically reproducing colour on the Internet is imprecise.
Therefore, we cannot assure you that what you see accurately portrays the colour. We have gone to great lengths to portray colours as accurately as possible. If you would like to see actual colours, please contact our customer service department regarding our swatch program.
If your item is not in stock, we will back order for you. You will always be emailed with the option to cancel your order if you would rather not wait.
All prices are quoted exclusive of VAT. All prices are subject to change without notice and goods will be invoiced at prices ruling at the time of despatch. E & OE.
For orders made from the UK or the European Union, 20% VAT is added. If you are in Europe and supply us with a verified VAT number, you will not be charged VAT. All countries outside the UK and EU are VAT free
Gold Leaf Supplies do not disclose buyers' information to third parties other than when order details are processed as part of the order fulfilment. In this case, the third party will not disclose any of the details to any other third party.

Credit Card Security
When the order is placed at our website, credit card numbers are encrypted using 128 bit encryption. They are only decrypted after they reach our computer. They are not held in clear text on any web site.
Please notify us immediately of any goods deemed to be unfit for use through faulty manufacture or material and we will replace the item.
Your rights to return goods are protected under the EU Distance Selling Directive which can be found at http://www.hmso.gov.uk/si/si2000/20002334.htm
In cases where the returns are due to our error we will either arrange collection or reimburse any costs incurred in the return, otherwise all returns must be paid for by the customer.

Please ensure you enclose a copy of the sales order or a note explaining why you would like to return the goods. We also recommend getting proof of postage as items are returned at the customers own risk. If you fail to take reasonable care of the goods before they are returned to us, and this results in damage or deterioration, we will charge you for the reduction in value.
Loss or Damage
Please notify us within 3 days of delivery of any sign of damage in transit.
