Platinum is a precious, silvery-grey metal. It is a highly valuable commodity due to it's scarcity and very little of it is mined each year. It is a non-oxidising metal.
Transfer platinum leaf is the same genuine leaf but pressed onto a backing sheet of acid free tissue paper. It is generally used for gilding onto flatter surfaces, for signwork, walls & ceilings and exterior gilding.
