Coronavirus COVID-19 Update
Hello everyone out there. Just want to give you a current update.
We are fully open for business. Steve and Sue have been here all along – initially on our own for many weeks but we are slowly increasing staff levels safely into the building and are happy to welcome Nikki back into the office. Nikki deals with most of the order processing and the telephone enquiries and she has been working all the way through this pandemic from home – it’s so nice to have her back. We also have Ralph back downstairs in the warehouse now thankfully so deliveries are a little smoother. Adam, who deals with our website and technical questions is available to speak to from home – just get in touch and we will pass your details over to him to call you if you have any technical queries. Sue J, our accounts manager has been working full time from home too so it’s all systems go!
Our suppliers are trickling back so we aren’t having to wait as long for stocks. It’s still an issue with some manufacturers as they have had to get back into production safely and also there is a shortage of certain raw materials so thank you for understanding that some deliveries can’t be as immediate as you are used to.
Please bear with us – we may be a little slower with systems but we are doing our best. Thanks for your patience and support.
Our couriers and Royal Mail have advised that due to increased absence levels, they've reviewed their timed guarantees for Special Delivery Guaranteed by 9am 10.30 am, 12pm and 1pm services and will make the following changes.
For items posted from Tuesday 31 March 2020 onwards, our guaranteed timed deliveries can no longer be guaranteed to those times. We will do our best to deliver to time but if we are unable to deliver to those times, we will deliver sometime that working day. Apologies for any inconvenience
Royal Mail have already stated that they are prioritising special Delivery above all other delivery options and now we are starting to see a backlog of some parcels sent on Track 48 being held up in postal depots, particularly in the London area. If you need your parcel quickly we strongly recommend the Special Delivery option . We have been advised that Tracked 48 deliveries will filter through but will certainly take longer to do so. We will keep you updated if anything changes. Thanks for your understanding
If anything changes regards the couriers we will let you know – we are speaking to both Royal Mail and the Couriers on a daily basis.
Due to home improvement projects during lockdown, we are having an unprecedented demand for Rustoleum spray paint. Rustoleum are also working on lower staffing levels and so we are experiencing delays in receiving orders from them to top up our stock levels. At the moment if we run out of stock, for new deliveries we are looking at a 10 day lead time. Thank you for your understanding with this. Everyone is working as hard as they can to improve delivery times.
