Finest quality Italian imitation gold (schlag metal) leaf. Used extensively in the picture framing trade. Rolls are available in 50m lengths and in widths up to 156mm.

Stock widths are 10mm, 15mm, 20mm, 25mm, 30mm, 40mm, 45mm, 50mm, 100mm, 158mm. Other sizes and colours can be made to order.

Rolls are made in a continuous ribbon of 140mm leaves of Imitation leaf laid next to each other and pressed to a backing sheet of tissue paper.

The recommended Size for use with metal leaf is either an acrylic size or an oil based size.

The recommended varnish for use over metal leaf is Shellac varnish clear or Whitsons Universal Lacquer. The Whitsons Universal Lacquer or the Shellac crystal clear are best over Aluminium as neither has yellowing properties.

Coverage: approx. 7.3m² when using a 158mm roll, not allowing for wastage or overlaps.
