Kolner Patina - Black - 100ml

Kolner Permacoll Patina products are a range of coloured water-based coatings for gold, silver, and other metal leaf. Each colour mimics a natural patina that gilding develops with age. The four colours in the range are Brown-Red, Brown-Black, Black and Copper Green.

They could not be easier to use either! Apply a layer of the appropriate Patina to your gilding using a synthetic brush and then wipe off with a clean, lint-free cloth. The Patina will naturally stain the recesses and crevices of your gilding darker, giving an authentic aged look. If you would like to tint the surface darker or want a more aged look then you can add more coats, allowing for drying between each coat.

This product is completely water-based, and tools and containers can be cleaned using warm soapy water.
