Bronze powders are not made of bronze but are made of varying mixes of copper and zinc and therefore will tarnish if left unprotected. These powders are often used in restoring gilt finishes; when mixed with a medium such as Gilt Wax Medium or Ormoline Metallic Paint Medium, they can be applied to a surface much like a paint.
