22ct Rose Gold Loose Leaf - Noris - German 14g - 80 x 80mm - 25 Leaves

Genuine gold metal beaten incredibly finely to form gossamer thin sheets for gilding. This leaf is supplied as loose leaf with each leaf in the booklet sitting loosely between thin rouged paper sheets. Loose gold leaf is incredibly delicate and is too fine to be handled by hand, when working with loose leaf you must make use of a gilders tip in order to pick up the gold.

This shade of gold is influenced by rose gold and contains a slight amount of copper, giving it a paler and slightly pinker tone than a standard Red Gold leaf.

With gold leaf being so thin, its thickness is measured as the weight of the metal per thousand leaves. This gold leaf contains around 14 grams of metal per thousand leaves, and this is suitable for all gilding tasks. This is heavier than our standard weight leaves, and will give a more lustrous and colourful finish.

This gold leaf comes in a booklet of 25 leaves, with dimensions of 80 x 80mm per leaf.

22ct Rose usually will not tarnish in most interior decorative applications. If the surface is to be handled or touched then it will need protection. We recommend sealing it with a high-quality acrylic sealer, you can view our range of acrylic sealers here.
