Turning Ordinary Signs into Works of Art
Buck & Bear Design organised a signwriting and gilding workshop for over 45 team members of Historic England in Cambridgeshire. The workshop took place at Hatfield House and was led by Carlie, the talented artist behind Buck & Bear.
The participants were divided into smaller groups and taught the techniques of signwriting and gilding. Each team member was assigned a specific letter from the words “Historic” and “England” to paint, resulting in a wooden board displaying the words “Historic England” for each group.
Not only did the workshop provide a fun team-building activity, but it also imparted valuable new skills to the participants. Each participant received information about Buck & Bear’s exclusive signwriting starter kit, provided in collaboration with Gold Leaf Supplies, which extended the learning beyond the workshop.
