Eddy Bennett’s First USA Gilding Workshop
This August, Eddy led a 12-day immersive workshop in Stanwood, Washington, at Pilchuck Glass School.
For 12 immersive days this past August, Eddy shared his expertise at the prestigious Pilchuck Glass School, where he taught a select group of 12 students the fine art of glass gilding. Pilchuck is famous for its innovative workshops, and we were incredibly proud that Eddy’s classes were a highlight of their summer program.
This wasn’t just any workshop—Eddy spent years perfecting his techniques, from the precise freehand application of enamel paint to the traditional process of applying 23-carat gold leaf. His methodical approach and dedication to craftsmanship made this a truly unique opportunity for anyone passionate about learning the art of glass gilding.
But that’s not all! The Pilchuck team was so impressed with Eddy’s work that they are considering making his gilding classes an annual event. This means even more artists will have the chance to learn from one of the best in the field, honing their skills and gaining insights into the meticulous process that makes Eddy’s work so special.
Whether you’re a seasoned artist looking to expand your skill set or a newcomer eager to learn, this workshop was not to be missed. We are excited to see the impact Eddy’s teaching has had on his students and the incredible work that has undoubtedly resulted from this experience.
Stay tuned for more updates on Eddy’s journey, and be sure to follow his experiences on social media for behind-the-scenes looks and insights into his creative process.
