Kölner Instacoll Matt
Kölner’s unique Instacoll Matt System is an innovative way of gilding, using modern water-based materials to create gilded surfaces that look to be made of solid metal. The system is versatile and can be used on nearly any substrate, so long as it has been properly prepared!
Kölner Instacoll is a water-based two-part system consisting of Instacoll Matt Base Size and Instacoll Activator. The base is available in either Yellow Matt or Clear Matt. The basic process involves applying Instacoll Base Size where you want to apply the leaf, allowing to dry and then reactivating with Instacoll Activator, allowing the Activator to dry and then applying the leaf. This will create a matt, metallic surface.
