Sinopia Clay Bole - Yellow

Sinopia Yellow Gilding Clay Bole is a premium, finely milled Kaolin clay developed for traditional water gilding under gold leaf. This warm yellow poliment subtly brightens the gilded finish, enhancing luminosity while preserving a classic, elegant look. Commonly used in iconography, fine art, and decorative frame gilding.

Application Tips

As with all clays, the Sinopia Clay Bole will need to be mixed with a hide glue, such as rabbit-skin glue before applying to the piece.

Please note, the Sinopia Clay Bole is thick out of the bottle and will need generous thinning with water until it reaches the consistency of cream. It is not recommend to mix the Sinopia Clay Bole directly with natural glues without first thinning the clay with water.
