Sinopia Clay Bole - White

Sinopia White Gilding Clay Bole is a premium, finely milled Kaolin clay formulated for traditional water gilding techniques. This white poliment offers a neutral base that subtly influences the tone of metallic leaf, making it especially well-suited for use under palladium, platinum, or white gold leaf. A clean, modern choice for fine art, frames, and decorative surfaces.

Application Tips

As with all clays, the Sinopia Clay Bole will need to be mixed with a hide glue, such as rabbit-skin glue before applying to the piece.

Please note, the Sinopia Clay Bole is thick out of the bottle and will need generous thinning with water until it reaches the consistency of cream. It is not recommend to mix the Sinopia Clay Bole directly with natural glues without first thinning the clay with water.
