Shellac Varnish - Clear

Shellac Varnish – Clear is a high-quality, quick-drying, alcohol-based varnish designed to protect bronze powders, metal leaf, and gold leaf. Touch dry within 15 minutes, this versatile varnish provides a clear finish that preserves the brilliance and integrity of gilded surfaces. It can be used as a glaze, tinted with dry pigments to modify the appearance of leaf, or applied as an isolating varnish for added protection. Additionally, it is ideal for sealing porous surfaces before applying gilding size, ensuring a smooth and even application.

For best results, allow at least one hour between coats to ensure proper drying. Brushes can be cleaned with methylated spirits after use.

Please note: Shellac Varnish is not suitable for outdoor use, as exposure to moisture may cause it to become cloudy.
