Rust Patina - 500ml

These water-based acidic solutions are applied over the Modern Masters Effect Reactive Paints. They will react with the real metal particles in the paints thus speeding up the oxidation process. The Green and Blue Patina Effects can be applied to the Copper Effect or Bronze Effect Paints to create beautiful, authentic green and blue patina finishes. The Rust Activator Effect is applied to the Iron Effects Paint. This combination will create a realistic rusted finish on the painted surface.

The Patina Effects & Rust Activator Effect will also work on some actual metals e.g. iron and copper, provided that they are not alloys. Most alloys (i.e. copper piping) are tarnish resistant and in most cases will not work with the patinas/rust activators. If working on these metals you would need to apply the complete Metal Effects system.

The manufacturer advises that, as a general rule, you will require approximately 1/2 to 3/4 the quantity of Rust Activator or Ageing Solution relative to the quantity of Metal Effects Reactive Paints used.
