Genuine Gold Professional Gilding Kit - With Pratical Gilding

For those who are looking to do some gilding but wish to use real gold rather than any substitute then this kit is perfect! We have included all the tools you will need to complete almost any gilding job and is great for novices looking to get their start or for tradespeople looking to buy a bundle of new tools. 

Also included in this kit is a copy of Practical Gilding, a helpful and instructional handbook on both water gilding and mordant (sometimes called 'oil gilding') gilding. Not a book for novices, it is however a great practical reference for people with a familiarity with gilding and will help deepen the breadth of your knowledge.

This kit is suitable for both interior and exterior application. To help inspire you here are some example applications customers have used our kits for - gilded artwork, picture frames, mirror frames, gilding furniture details, architectural decorations (such as mouldings, carvings, coving or cornices), interior and exterior statuary and gilding weather vanes. Please note, when gilding outdoors we recommend leaving 23.5ct gold unsealed for the best possible finish, unless the gilding is likely to experience touching and wear.
