23ct Red is a wonderful colour, the alloy of gold with a hint of a copper creates a warmer and richer gold colour that well suits many applications, including restoration of older pieces. 23ct Red is a high gold content alloy and has a very low risk of tarnishing and can generally be safely left unsealed on interior surfaces, allowing you to bask in it's brilliant luster without compromise. However, if the item is to be handle we recommend sealing with a varnish as gold leaf is very fragile and vulnerable to physical damage.
This gold leaf is manufactured by Manetti, a family-owned and -run company of goldbeaters with a long pedigree of creating high-quality gold leaf. This 23ct gold leaf is supplied on a roll of 20.5m length and is cut to the width specified.
Please note: as the roll is made from gold leaves that has been cut into ribbons there may be the appearance of small joins along the length of the roll where these sheets overlap.
