The Smith Tip is a specially designed gilders tip for use in transferring loose leaf from it's backing paper to a glass surface. Some of the innovative features of this unique gilders tip are:

It's large size ( 3 1/4" x 3 1/2" ) fully covers the leaf, allowing for maximum control and stability of the leaf while transporting it.
The rigid back of the tip prevents the gold leaf from tearing while moving it.
