Dissolve a quarter of a teaspoon of the crystals in one litre of water and paint onto the surface of imitation metal leaf to create a rainbow-like patina. This method can also be used to tarnish silver leaf to create aged brown/black/green effects on the surface. With either of these methods it should be noted that more than one coat may be required.
