Roberson Liquid Metals Acrylics have a rich, deep colour, ideal for a wide range of applications and surfaces e.g plaster, wood, paper, canvas, metal, walls and ceilings. The paints give the appearance of metals but will not tarnish and do not need to be varnished. All colours can be freely intermixed. The colour range is superb and the product is ideal for both small craft based projects, frames, furniture and also large interior design projects. It is available in sizes up to 5 Litres. Due to the lovely colour range and current vogue for metallic finishes, these paints are being specified for Hotel Interiors, shop fitting projects and theatre painting.

Coverage is approximately seven square metres per litre and two coats are recommended. For walls and ceilings if the paint is being applied using a roller or brush then three or four coats are recommended. For cutting in use brushes or rollers that are appropriate for acrylic paints to avoid lap line marks. Because of the highly reflective nature of the metallic paint when applying with a roller to a large area apply the paint evenly in long vertical strokes, finishing off the surface by rolling or brushing in one direction, i.e ceiling to floor. This will help to minimise overlapping and create a smooth and even finish.

The paints spray very well and only need to be thinned up to 10% with water.

This range of paints is suitable for exterior use but must be applied on a dry day as any rain or moisture in the air will affect the paints drying ability outdoors. Whether applying inside or out the paints are touch dry within about thirty minutes and you can re-coat in an hour. Once dry these paints cure and become harder as time passes.

NEW - Solid Silver and Twinkle

Solid Silver is made in a different way from the other Liquid Metal silver shades. Solid Silver uses aluminium particles, which make it very opaque with excellent coverage. Only one coat needed for most applications.

Twinkle is a variation of Liquid Metals produces colour changing effects with a hint of glitter. The use of different backgrounds will change the effects. Dark backgrounds will show the glitter properties. Light backgrounds provide a colour changing effect dependant on angle of view. This is a fascinating addition to liquid metals, which can be added to other colours in the range for a wide variety of interesting effects.
