This shellac-based varnish is formulated with selected dyes to produce a clear, even and totally transparent colour which will adhere to most surfaces.

French Enamel Varnish has a range of uses including varnishing and staining wood in one application, colouring and 'taking down' props and scenery, as well as simulating stained glass effects on glass and Perspex. It can also be used for colouring low wattage bulbs. Clear mixing solution can be used to make up special colours and formulations or to thin down colours. The solvent for French Enamamel Varnish is methylated spirits. French Enamel Varnish is intended for decorative or scenic use and is not permanent.
