Liberon Iron Paste is a black graphite paste that produces a silver/black look on decorative cast and wrought ironwork in the home. It protests the iron, reducing the possibility of it rusting, protecting it while leaving a silver/black finish that can be buffed to a high shine. It is specially suited for ornamental ironwork, cast iron grates, surrounds and fire irons.

Before applying the Iron Paste ensure the surface is clean and free of rust, using Liberon Rust Remover to remove any prior to the application of Liberon Iron Paste. Apply the Iron Paste with a brush or cotton cloth, always wear rubber gloves when using this product and do not allow it to come in contact with your skin, clean off brushes with white spirits. Allow the Iron Paste to dry from a minimum of 4 hours before buffing with a brush or cotton cloth.

To obtain a decorative, patinated finish on sculpted or high relief pieces, carefully polish the raised area with a cotton cloth.

The finish can be reapplied and buffed as necessary if it fades or is rubbed off over time.

Important: Always test product on a spare surface or inconspicuous area for colour, compatibility and end result. Do not apply to hot surfaces.
