Largely considered one of the most beautiful ways to finish wood, particularly characterfully grained woods such as mahogany, French Polishing results in a very high gloss finish with a deep colour. The process of French polishing involves laying down multiple layers of shellac, building up layer on layer to achieve a wondrous finish after many repeated applications of polish.

While this process may sound daunting our new kit will start you on your way either to creating your own artisan-quality finishes on your wooden surfaces or simply towards being able to repair a damaged finish on a French polished item you already own. Contained within are all the materials you need to complete the project as well as simple guide to get you started.
